How can I make a silicone mold with a piece of lace? Can it be done with lace? Il am hoping to be able to use sugar veil with it... that's my hope... totally crossing fingers. I have a bride who wants a specific lace look (to match her bridesmaid dresses) on her cake. I don't want to commit unless I can deliver ;)

Thanks! :)

I think there are some tutorials on this on the Make Your Own Mold website (now called Marvelous Molds, I seem to recall). You have to seal the lace first, then make the mold. Or maybe it was on a Craftsy class. I'm not sure! Perhaps someone else can remember but check out the Marvelous Molds website.

Check out Make Your Own Molds: http://www.makeyourownmolds.com/

You should be able to find the info and materials your need there. And if you have questions, Dominic is extremely helpful!

Here is an interesting way Ben Israel uses the brides lace and runs it through a pasta machine with fondant to imprint and then cuts out shapes.
