Hey everyone, I have a friend who wants a retirement cake with a southwestern theme and I'm drawing a blank! All I'm coming up with is cactus, desert, and cowgirl boots. Anyone have any other ideas to throw in the mix? I'd appreciate any brainstorming ideas to run with. Thanks so much!!

How about a sombrero, an adobe house, bright colored flowers

Go to Hobby Lobby and check out their section on the southwestern theme. That may help you to think of several ideas. Ropes, cowboy hats, blue jeans, google items that pertain to the southwest. Hope this helps! Joni

If it was my cake I'd want a scorpion and rattlesnake on there! icon_smile.gif
I realize that's not for everyone...

btw, I grew up in the SW - Phoenix/Tempe, AZ

Good luck!

What about one of the beautiful blankets that are common in southwest decor? Draping over the cake or something.
