My son's birthday is this weekend. He wants a Titanic cake for his birthday. Since we don't need all that cake, I am making the bottom layer of cake out of a cake dummy. I have already carved and sanded down the dummies. I've never worked with cake dummies and I'm unsure of the next step. Do I glue them down to the cake board? The actual cake will be on it's own cake board so they will not be in contact with the bottom layer on the cake dummies.

Thoughts?
Ideas?
Suggestions.....

Thanks!

if you plan on reusing it you can "glue" it with chocolate so all you need is a heated spatula to lift it afterwards.
