I'm making a pirate cake and need to make some gold coins. After looking at the color sheet on Wilton.com, I thought it would be easy to do. I'm not having much luck. Any suggestions or is this too hard of a color to achieve?

I started with white fondant, added Golden Yellow and a touch of Leaf Green. Got me no where so I added a touch of brown. Now I'm really just at dirty yellow. I used Wilton's copper color to make a flesh color so I'm not sure adding that would do me much good. Should I try it?

Thanks for any help!

Love that you have a color file! What a great idea to keep track of special colors.

Is this just something you've been working on over the years or did you find it online somewhere?
