Some petals and leaves that have dropped from the basket.

Make a big oval in the center of the cake; outline it w/border or fancy piped line desgine; place the basket in center. Between the oval outline and the corn ers of the cake fill in w/cornelli lace. Something long these lines: http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1300910

Maybe the lower rectangle cake could be covered in fondant like a table cloth or doilie?

I am doing a simaliar cake for this weekend. I am doing an 7 or 8 inch round and placing it on top of a 10-inch round. I am going to do leaves since it is fall and my flowers will be fall colors. Just place them around it. Plus on the cake board.

How about making it look like a picnic table top (wood slats) and have the leaves falling down on it?
