I have a request for a unique bacon dessert. They are having a Pork Party.

They don't want the standard Pancake Cupcakes with Bacon Sprinkles
(Thats how they found me.. They had those cupcakes made by me at another party)

Anyone have any good idea?

What about chocolate covered bacon? I've never had it before, but I've heard it's pretty good.

It's not really cakey or cupcakey, but you could do chocolate covered bacon. Or maybe a chocolate cupcake with maple buttercream with the chocolate covered bacon.

it was a big hit at the minnesota state fair last year.

A friend of mine makes a chocolate stout cupcake with cream cheese icing sprinkled with bacon. I'm sure you could google a recipe.

Chocolate covered bacon sounds good but not like a fully complete dessert.

Maybe a Banana muffin with chocolate covered bacon... hmm.

They want to stay away from the maple icing with bacon because thats what everyone had at the last party.

How about a dark chocolate chipotle cupcake or brownie with a thin layer of ganache with salted bacon pieces(coarse salt, not too much).

Or a whoopee pie(dark choc. chipotle with standard whoopie filling) rolled in finely crushed bacon(still recommend salted for that salty sweet thing).

I made Chocolate Bread Pudding with Bacon Crème Anglaise, it was good. Here is the link to the recipe.

Oh I like the whoopie Pie Idea! I might do a test run of that.

I'm also making chocolate covered pretzels rolled in Bacon to go on the 'bar' with the beer
