What Color Gels Would You Use To Achieve This Cake?

She wants butter cream not fondant so I can't figure out how to achieve the shading on the top tier. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. She also wants only 30 servings but a two tier cake what size cakes would you recommend? Thank you

i would do a 6 and 9 inch cake. i think your best bet is to airbrush. thats the only way you're going to get that coloring on buttercream.

I agree that this looks like an air brush oversprayed top layer.

I don't use an airbrush on my cakes. Do you have any other ideas on what I could do. Even another decorating idea for the top tier would be great.

I've seen edible spray paint at the local cake supply shop. Do they have anything like that where you are? Sorry don't have a clue about the bamboo
