Hello everyone! I usually cover my cakes in fondant the day before or day of... however, I am swamped this weekend!! My question is, how far in advance would you feel comforable covering a cake? Have you ever done it more than 24 hours in advance? The filling is just buttercream, not worried about that spoiling.

It depends on the cake recipe, fillings & frosting ...the fondant covering itself would be fine done a week in advance, (fondant will harden/dry a little, but doesn't go 'off') ...obviously you want the actual cake to be as fresh as possible though.
