I have a cake due tomorrow, she wants pure whip cream for the frosting..she also wants fondant flowers, now they are melting. Will royal icing melt on Whip cream and stand up to the fridge? What can I use for flowers that will hold up on this cake?? Thank you!

could you maybe wait until right before pick up to put the flowers on the cake? maybe put a piece of plastic wrap under the flower before putting it on the cake. let the person know that it's there, that way no one accidentally eats the plastic...this really is the only way i see them withstanding the moisture that pure whipped contains. maybe someone else may know something i don't.

I don't know if this would work, but what about coating the fondant with piping gel where it would touch the whipped cream?
