Please Help Need Good Chocolate Scratch Cake!!!

Hi everyone,Im from the uk and on the hunt looking for a good chocolate cake recipe(Scratch) that will stand up well to carving,stacking and tastes good and moist(Gosh im not asking for much hehe!) I thought i found a good recipe from the barefoot contessa,Although it tastes great im not sure if it would work well for stacking and carving.This was the recipe
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
3/4 cups good cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk, shaken
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup freshly brewed hot coffee
can any of you lovely cake central guys help me out

I actually make that recipe all the time it is fantastic! But you are right carving it would be a mess I also use Colette Peters chocolate cake very good but a bit stronger.

I use this recipe all the time
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups flour
3/4cup good cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
1 cup vanilla yoghurt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1tsp vanilla extract
