Ok, Ive seen alot of cakes that are really pull apart cup cakes....how do you make them. Do you bake them and then flatten the dome off the top and put side by side, ice and then go from there????
If you bake your cupcakes at a lower temp, you shouldn't have a big dome.
Place the cupcakes in the shape you want. Some people stick them to the board with icing. I like to use tiny glue dots that you find in craft stores. You mainly have to stick the cupcakes on the outside edge.
After they're stuck on the cake board, just ice with your BC as you would a cake. You can even VIVA the top to get it smooth, then decorate like you would any other sheet cake.
i have never seen these.. does anyone have some pictures??
Here are a couple that I did 4-5 years ago.
