She wants a BC , 3 tiered with 2 flamingo characters on top. They want the cake to be the center piece. I'm very hesitate to do this for her. Any suggestions on what I could do to make it work? TIA

If it is outside, I would definately get away from BC. I would move more towards Fondant. Is there a theme to this party? It would help to know to help with ideas.

She wants to do a Luah(?) theme with two 3d flamingo figures on top. If you don't use BC what would you use to hold the fondant on the cakes? TIA

You could do ganache under the fondant instead of butter cream. It wouldn't soften as much outside.
