Bride scheduled for a tasting and design consult today at 3pm.

Doesn't show. At 3:30 I leave. That's enough time to wait.

Later she calls to tell me I wasn't here. I informed her that indeed I WAS here, and waited until 3:30 and she was a 1/2 hour later so I left. I am pissed and taking no prisoners.

She wants another appointment. I say no tasting, the cakes were baked specially for you today and you missed your appointment. She says she doesn't want a tasting, just a wedding cake in six weeks and can't she please order?

So, I'm seeing her next week, if she shows up.

But that's just backstory. Here's the BEST.

"I was late because I didn't realize how close you are to my house."

And just MAYBE you'll be late to the reception with her wedding cake "because you didn't realize how close the reception hall was to your shop"!! Grrrrr... I'm glad you stood your ground about no more tastings. It's good to hear these customers are everywhere and not just knocking on MY door! icon_rolleyes.gif

Wow!!! Just wow!!!

And I thought my appointment was bad Sunday afternoon...meeting at a coffee shop at 1pm...I'm sitting in the parking lot at a couple minutes until 1:00 when my phone rings. They want to know where to meet me.

Um...well I gave her the exact address of the shop the week before, and we agreed on 1pm. Evidently they lost the address and decided it was "1pm give or take 30 minutes" because I had time to run to walmart, come back, buy hot chocolate, and text people on my phone until 1:30pm!

Oh well, it was a repeat customer and she paid the deposit so...I guess its okay. I was just not feeling well that day, fighting a mild virus and not in the mood for crap! How can you just casually call someone at your appointment time and go, "Now where am I supposed to go, again?" (with kids screaming in the background and its very obvious you haven't even left the house....)

I firmly beleive that once a woman has a diamond placed on her finger, the first six months the grey matter just slides out her ears.
