I have been asked by the NICU I work in to do a cake for the March of Dimes. I would like to do a cake to match our shirt design. It is a tree that I would like to do 3-D and have it sitting on a two layer 14 inch square. The roots will come across the top and sides of the cake.

I have the base figured out using pipe for support and RKT and modeling chocolate. I need help on how to do the branches and the top of the tree.

I'm not a beginner when it comes to 3-D cakes but I am in no way an expert and I have not done a tree cake before. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Last night late I watched the CAKE BOSS, With Buddy....He made a tree, go to Hulu.com its tv on your computer with no commericals....type in the show you want to see ....the tree was for a farm.

I think it was Adells farm, not sure. It showed how he did the branches. good luck. hope this helps

Thanks! I can't access that website at work but I'll be sure to check it out when I get home.
