Hey just curious. Have any of you ever made the Wilton BC recipe (that uses all shortening) with just regular shortening (the one that has both veg and animal fat in it). It is NOT lard, mind you.

I accidently bought regular shortening instead of all veg. shortening at the store LOL. It's good for baking etc, but I was curious about frosting. I like the texture of it and thought it might be good for making roses (which I always have a hard time getting my frosting to be the right consistency).

Any experiences you have to share would be appreciated. I'm going to be making some frosting with it to experiment with, so I'll post later to share my findings.
