Hi all!

Have any of you done a "Duff Goldman's Rose" ??????

The link is

http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1149096

It looks very straight forward. But, I have a question. There is no mention of "Adhesive". How do I keep this rose together. Where do I apply the gumpaste adhsive so it stays rolled up.

Tips??...

Thanks,

Maybe it just stays together because it's been rolled up? Or maybe you put a dab of water in the inside of the flower and out?

When you cut it, it pinches it together at the bottom, which causes it to stick. I don't use any type of adhesive.

I used

tutorial to make my "bee mine" roses (see my photos) and i didnt have to use any adhesive.... I just molded them together at the bottom and around when I added another petal (if that makes any sense??)

I agree - this worked very well when I tried this method recently. Not one rose came apart, they're very stable.
