I love this website!!! I really want to try a 3 d cake but don't know where to start. So any help will be appreciated!!
Choose a shape and start carving!
It helps to start off with something simple, maybe a turtle or ladybug.
That way you don't have to mess with internal structure for a standing cake.
It also helps if you can have a 3-D reference, a stuffed animal or figurine that you can look at from all sides.
Make sure you use a nice firm cake recipe.
Remember when you carve cake to remove a little at a tme, you canalways take away more but you can't put more on.
I have a really simple tutorial for a lady bug cake on my blog (click the www button).
It's just a slide show but it's a really easy cake to make.
I really don't know what kind of shape I want. Something easy! Thanks for the ladybug idea I will look into that. Anymore ideas
