Has anyone ever used the Bake Even Strips on a sheet cake pan? If so what was the results?
I use the strips or a wet towel on all my pans & flower nails in the larger pans as well.
I use them all the time on the bigger pans and they work great!
Me, too. I also use a flower nail in the middle of big cakes. Combined, I have so much less waste from cakes that "crown" so high.
I use them on all my cakes. I even put the flower nail in my 8 in. rounds while using the strips. The last time I did this with an 8 in, my cake was terrific. No leveling required whatsoever. On the big cakes, it really helps to prevent the edges from drying out.
I don't put any cake into the oven without those strips.

I use strips on all of my cakes and recently started using the flower nail as well - works great!
The last time I didn't use a bake even strip I ended up wasting soooo much cake b/c the crown was super high! LESSON LEARNED!
Has anyone seen a difference between the bake strips you buy and using the towel method. I saw that on the internet and thought it was a much cheaper way. Need input. Thanks
I have done it both ways, the towel works just as well. Jennifer Dontz shows you how on her first DVD, she always uses toweling.
