I'm making Michele Foster's fondant for the first time right now, and I just wanted to double check something. Do you melt the white chocolate before adding it in with the glycerin? Or will it melt with the other ingredients in the microwave?

I tried to find the answer but I had no luck.

MFF recipe that I have (got it here) says to put it into microwave bowl when you add all the ingredients, butter, glycerin etc with the gelatin that has bloomed and then microwave. However, yesterday I made it with white chocolate for the first time (made it without white chocolate with never a problem) and it didn't melt so when I strained it into the sugar, a bunch of white chocolate was left in the strainer. I don't know how to fix problem, I am afraid to add more time on microwave but I ay try that next time. HTH

I made this recipe for the first time this week. I too saw that the chocolate wasn't melted so I kept nuking the mixture for 15 second intervals until it was, stirring after each nuke session. Everything turned out fine.
