Glow In The Dark Icing For A Cake

on the foodnet work the Cake girls did glow the dark cake
any one know how they did it ,I do they used ginger ale with something called quintne something?
need help fast

they used tonic water with quinine in it in their piping gel

hmmm I don't know. I've never tried it myself. That's all they said she did. Did you use a black light to see it? I think that's the only way it will show.

No I didn't use a black light , I just turned off the lights and made it very dark but I think your right about the black light. I'll try that very soon and I'll let you know if it worked.

Yes, she used a black light to show the effect.

Remember those black light posters from the 70s (that all the teenage boys had in their bedrooms)? Same idea.

(And where would one go about getting Quinine? Isn't that a drug?)

Yes it's a drug. It's most popular use would be that of an anti-malarial.

It's found in in certain drinks like Tonic Water and Brio.

Holy Moly ! A Drug ,Is that safe for a birthday cake?
Lordy.lordy the 70's the year I graduated High School.. shessi ! I'm getting old!
the flower power years I remember them well !hee hee!
I even have air brush flower power hippe wedding cake with the hippe couple as a cake a topper . is was fun to do
