Well, a while ago I started posting questions about ideas for a geologist cake. A coworkers boyfriend is a geologist and for his birthday she wanted a "rock." That's all the guidlines she had; just a rock cake! I wasn'/t sure how I could go about this so I asked all of you!
Then, once I condensed all your wonderful help and ideas, I posted a question about how to attach the rock candy to the geode. And you were all so helpful once again! So thank you for all your help and ideas everyone. I ended up doing the geode in RKT as suggested, used rock candy for the amythest and crystals, and used cooked sugar poured over the candy to hold it in place and give it sparkle. Thanks for the help; she loved it! I don't think the picture will post here, so here is a link to the finished cake.

Oh my goodness, that amythest geod ROCKS!!!!!!!!! I hadn't finished reading your post, when I clicked to see the picture. I was like, "Did she put a geod on the cake?!?!?" and then I was like let me read the description. That geod looks SO REAL! I love it. You did an excellent job! icon_biggrin.gif
