Okay - 2 questions - 2 different cakes

1 - I am making a Harley cupcake tower like the picture. I am wondering how to get such an intense silver metallic?

2 - I am going to use the perioette (sp?) cookies from pepperidge farm to surround a round cake and fill the top with fresh raspberries. I would like to add a "ribbon" or tie around it. What would you suggest?

To get an intense silver I use everclear mixed with nu silver luster dust and just paint it on to what I want to get that color, and after it dries, I do another layer. I keep doing layers until I get the color I want. For the ribbon, I would just use regular ribbon like satin. I have seen alot of cakes like that with just satin ribbon on it.

Be aware NuSilver is NOT approved for use of canes in the US. Anything it is on must be removed from the cake and not served.

You can also use Americolor Silver airbrush color...I don't have an airbrush but I just painted it on and it was a very intense silver.
