Found A Great New Way To Use Cake Leftovers!

Hi folks!
I had to do 3-D cake a few days ago and came up with a great way to use cake leftovers. Granted, this would probably only taste good with white or yellow cake:
I cut the cake into bite-size cubes, or broke it into bite-size pieces and threw them back in the cake pan that was already crusty from pulling out the original cake. I kept the oven on but lowered the temp down to 250F and dried the cake pieces into "croutons".
When they were golden brown and super-crunchy, I put them in a plastic storage container for a quick snack. Not too sweet, but they are wonderful. Somewhat like biscotti which are double-baked too!
Let me know if anyone else tries it and likes them!
thats awesome

tossing those 'croutons' on some hot choccolate

Update: I've probably gained 5 pounds LOL
Tried them with:
Cake croutons with ice cream: YUM!! I had chocolate/mocha ice cream. Just a bit...
Cake croutons with a tiny bit of fresh whipped cream, chambord and cut up strawberries. YUM! Like a kicked up strawberry shortcake!!
Cake croutons in a ziploc bag. In the car. On the way out. Great snack!!!!
