I have a client who would like a chocolate cake with german chocolate cake filling. My client is going to be picking up the cake at 8:30am and the cake is not going to be eatin until after 2pm. She is picking it up and then driving over 1 1/2 hours to the wedding destination and the wedding doesn't even start till 1pm. Because the german chocolate filling has egg in it, is it going to be ok to just store in the church kitchen? Should it be refrigerated? Do you think it will be safe for the drive? Not sure what to tell her, because I have never had anyone wait pick up a cake with so much time before the event.

Please Help!!!

I'm not sure what recipe you're using, but I am assuming it is cooked. That being said, the egg will be cooked and should be fine at room temp. JMO.
