I need help getting a clean cut when cutting fondant ribbons. If I use a scalloped design it takes so long to clean it up once I cut and remove it from the fondant mat. I try to press down as hard as I can and even try to wiggle it a bit, after straight cutting didn't work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like the blade on your cutting wheel isn't sharp enough? I have only done straight-edge cutting (using a pizza wheel), so I'm afraid I can't really comment on the scallop design part. What kind of cutting wheel are you using?

Are you using a cutter? What kind of surface are you cutting on?
