What is the best way to freeze a cake? Frosted, or not? I am always scared they will be dry or not taste fresh after being frozen. Anyone do this on a regular basis?

I freeze all my cakes. Unfrosted. Torted, wrapped. It definitely is best to have a freezer just for cakes so no smells transfer and you REALLY need a NON-self defrosting freezer.

I almost always bake my cakes ahead of time and freeze them without frosting. I wrap them in plastic wrap and then in a plastic "zip" bag. I like to thaw them in the fridge and when they are completely thawed, frost them.
