I was just wondering what type of wires you ladies use for your cakes.. ((The wires that pop off the cake )) Is is just floral wire? Also what size do you use?

The gauge of wire will depend on the weight of the pieces you are using. 18g wire is pretty stout and is what I use most of the time.

Please note that floral wire (or any wire for that matter) is NOT to be stuck directly into the cake. You can use coffee stir-straws in the cake which is where you insert the wire. For multiple wires bound together, you can use regular drinking straws, bubble tea straws, and posy picks.
