I am making a ball cap cake, and I was wondering what other options are there to make the brim out of? This cake is buttercream only, and will be refrigerated, so fondant is out of the question.

Can you make the brim out of cake (or solid buttercream) and still make it look good? Or would you use cardboard or something? Anybody's help is appreciated, I need to have it done by Friday! Any ideas?

The bill can be cardboard, fondant or icing.
Cardboard might warp, but then it could add to the authentic lookicon_smile.gif

I had to laugh at this one! Hubby and I "made a brim" one day when we had no kids in the house and a bottle of wine between us! 9 months later, our youngest was born!
