What is an Oreo mold? I don't understand the difference between a mold and just taking an Oreo and dipping it in bark chocolate using a fork to scoop it out.
Thanks! icon_rolleyes.gif

The mold will make it look like a piece of candy. The side and top will be very smooth and straight. It looks so much nicer. That said, I don't have a mold, so I just dipped mine. I wasn't very thrilled with the results, especially after seeing the molded type.

Check out this threaad for tons of info and pictures.

Thanks Barbaranne.

I see, so the Oreo design on top will not be visible when you use the mold.

Why does the food color have to be oil based?

Water based colors can cause your chocolate to seize up...NOT a good thing. icon_biggrin.gif
