I am attempting to make a rum cake for the holidays. I will be shipping it and I was wondering how long will it stay fresh? It will probably take 2 or 3 days to arrive. I just don't want it to spoil in that time frame.

If you douse it well in rum, the alcohol will act as a preservative. Well wrapped, it will definitely stay fresh for several days.
