I have tried soooo many recipes for sugar cookies...I have yet to find one that taste good icon_cry.gif

Does anyone have a tried, tested & proven to be a darn good sugar cookie (recipe) that you would be willing to share?

I'm new to making cookies but like many of you I can't stand a "nasty cookie" and personally I don't want to spend my money on ingredients and have to trash the cookies...

Any help would be great. THANKS

Since taste is subjective, everyone has a different idea about the perfect cookie. It might help to know which ones you have tried and not liked and maybe why.

The recipe section has a 'no fail sugar cookie' very popular
Martha stewar has an excellent rolled sugar cookie
There is a 'Penny's Sugar Cookie'

Basically, the recipes will be the same, Flour, sugar, butter, (salted or unsalted), egg(s) flavoring. There is usually no leavening(other than egg) so the cookie does not puff or spread a lot.
