I have 2 friends and a family member that insist that I use D/H creamy style frosting on thier cakes. My questions are....
1. What can I add to it to make it more of a crusting icing?
2. Has anyone ever melted it in the microwave to use it as a pouring icing? Will it reset and dry or just be gooey?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks,
Polly

Try adding more ps; cornstarch &/or a several tablespoons of meringue powder.

Yes it can be melted in the MW for pouring. It will reset nicely icon_smile.gif

Thank you both so much....I added powder sugar and it worked great. I am going to try to use it as a pour on my next cake for my friend just to do something different.
Again Thanks,
Polly
