FIRST the issue with the baking powder (another post) NOW I open my Hershey's dark chocolate baking bars and they look DISGUSTING!!! I look for a date stamp and there is none...just a code. So I go to the website to decode the *$#@#$% stamp and it looks like it's best before September of 2007!!!!!!! WTH?! I am so pissed right now it's not even funny!!!!!

That's just bloom on the chocolate. Don't worry about it. When it melts, stir it gently and the chocolate will blend back together.
No problemo---its fine!!! I've used chocolate like that many times. Once even chocolate chips-----IMHO they're okay to use.
