I'm new to cake making and have been using flavoring extracts. I've heard that oils produce similar and maybe better flavors for both cakes and frostings. Any opinions? Thanks!!

I have used both but I would recommend using a dropper when using oils as a little really does go a long way.

Sometimes certain flavoured oils will leave a chemically taste if you over use them which is dreadful so using a dropper to dispense the oils is imo the best way to go!

Thank you for the suggestion of using a dropper, that's a wonderful idea.
