Here is **the ORIGINAL** recipe I came up with yrs ago.

WASC cake

1 box cake mix (any flavor, any brand) I prefere Betty Crocker
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
generous dash salt (like about 1/4 tsp)
1 cup sour cream
3 whole eggs
1 cup water

In a med bowl, wisk together mix, flour, sugar & salt. Set aside
In mixer bowl place eggs, water, sourcream. Blend on low while adding dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes on med (high if using a hand-held mixer)

Pour into one 10" round and one 6" round OR one 12" round OR a 9x13x2 pan.
Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees about 30 minutes - or until you can smell it. If it pulls away from the sides of the pan it probably overdone.
Cool in pan on rack about 10 minutes; turn out onto the rack and cool about 30 minutes. Can place on cake board &/or wrap in plastic wrap to store in frig or fzr.
Certainly you can use any size/shape pan.
