the bride wants brown ribbons and blue pearls
How do I apply a ribbon to buttercream and hold it to the cake?
How soon can I apply it, do I have to wait till the cake is delivered on the wedding day?
How do I prevent the ends of the ribbon from raveling, Burn them?
And last any suggestions on making blue pearls, should I start with blue fondant and roll them in pearl dust. I make lots of white pearls but not blue.
Thanks,

I let my icing crust before applying ribbon. Most of the time I add it at the venue. Just lay it against the cake and attach it in back using a blop of BC icing as glue to hold the two ends together. Not sure what you mean by unraveling, and no, I never 'burn' the ends. icon_confused.gif
