Just wanted to know if any of my fellow small electric oven owners have baked a 14" cake? I was planning on using towel strips, keeping the oven at 325, and using a heating core, but I'm not sure that these will help in the end given that there is barely a 1" clearance around the pan.

It should be ok, as long as the door shuts, and the temperature is accurate.

I suffered for a year in a small apartment and it did work for a 14 inch! I don't remember any particulars...but I watched it very carefully and everything was fine!

Thanks! I'm going to give it a go. Then I won't make any more large cakes till our kitchen renos are done and a "real" oven is installed! icon_biggrin.gif
