So... can you or can you NOT refrigerate MMF before you use it? I'm so confused. I've read both... And if you have colored MMF and you refridgerate it, won't you get the light colored blotches like ppl are saying you could get on a fondant covered cake when you put in the in the fridge and bring to room temp? I hope this makes sense!!

If you use a filling that requires refrigeration, you must refrigerate the fondant.

If you use non-perishable fillings and icings, you can leave the cake (boxed) on the counter.

I have successfully refrigerated MMF, but it was all white.

I thought that was what you were supposed to do. I make my fondant, wrap it in plastic wrap, stick it in a ziploc baggie, then put it in the fridge overnight. My understanding was that it helps the color sink into the fondant. When I need it, I take it out of the bag, microwave for about 20-30 seconds, and use it!! I haven't had any trouble so far!!
