i was wondering if some one could help me... i want to make a cake for my cousin's graduation. what i wanted to do was a two tiered cake probably covered in mmf. then pust stars all around it and on the top have 2008 and stars shooting out in the back ground. well i was thinking of doing the 2008 in cookies and possibly the stars..but i don't know how to put that on top of the cake without it falling off...lol.. and the stars is there a way to have them looking like they are shooting out.. maybe with just fondant? but if i do cookies how do i make them pop up at least? help me!!! thank u so much..

If you are planning on using wires and I am not sure how those do with cookies. There might be instructions on cookies on sticks.

Also I am pretty sure there are cookie cutters with shooting star cut out style.

I would say it might be safer to use fondant, 50/50 fondant and gumpaste or chocolate.

Hope this helps or at least gets the question out there again.

Good Luck.
