I started taking Course III. I do not have the money to buy the fondant that is in the store. Plus I like the taste of MMF. My instructor told me I would need about 1 1/2 lbs of fondant. She is ok with me using MMF. Does anyone know how much a batch of MMF will make (pounds). The recipe I use it 16 oz marshmellows, 2 tbs of water and 6-8 cups of sugar.

4 cups of powdered sugar is about one pound.

With 16 oz of mm and 1-1/2 to 2 pounds of powdered sugar, you would get a bit more than 2 pounds of fondant.
