I really like my Makins clay gun. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby (40% coupon). I mainly use the round disc for making ropes.
The Makins one is far easier to use than most. Instead of a squeeze trigger than can really hurt your hands, it has a twist key to push the fondant/gumpaste through the tube.
You material may still need a bit of shortening to push through cleanly.
Makins' Ultimate Professional Clay Extruder is the one I believe people are referring to. Makin's makes more than one model. I love mine, too. I mostly use the different sized round disks.
Definatley the Makin's Professional!!! I tried an extruder that you push the fondant through.....returned it the next day!!! HORRIBLE!! The makins is SOOO easy!!!

I never knew they were so inexpensive! I saw the monterous thing that Duff has on AoC and thought that they must be expensive. Now I am going to have to go and buy one! Thanks!
I on the other hand like to squeeze!!!!
I found doing the twist hurts me more than squeezing
I like my * insert forbidden sites name here * gun
