TooMuchCake! What a neat idea ! Are the horses a choc mold or what are they made of ?
Fiddlesticks, yep, they're a chocolate mold with luster dust on the saddles.
This is a fun thread!

These jungle friends cupcakes are made with white cake that has been tinted to match the animals on the picks. The zebra is white cupcake with black stripes, the tiger is orange cupcake with black stripes, the elephant is a grey cupcake, and the lion is a yellow cupcake. The grass and leaf tips were used to decorate with buttercream frosting. Printed cupcake wrappers and animal picks by Wilton. My sister LOVED these when I showed up at her job and surprised her with these cupcakes! Her co-workers were pleasantly surprised when they bit into the cakes to find that the colors matched the animal picks.
I can't figure out how to make the picture smaller so it fits as an attachment, so here is the link: http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1167377
tonedna . . . love your tropical theme . . . but can't tell exactly what you've got goin' on there . . . can you share your instructions . . . soooo cute . . . looks like it might be those plastic wine glasses with something in the bottom (filling) and then a cup cake and then the whipped cream (icing) . . . do you have a patent pending on the concept???
(p.s. for those of you who don't get the "inside joke" regarding the patent pending . . . you may want to check this thread out . . . http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-582719-cupcake.html+jar)
Here are my current favorites that I made for a church bake sale.

Thanks The hamburger cupcakes are easy. I just simply cut the top and bottom off of a yellow cupcake for the "buns" & cut the middle out of a chocolate cupcake for the "meat" and use buttercream for the lettuce & ketchup, the "cheese" is mmf. These were a big hit.
fondantgrl, I have been wanting to try a shoe, but alas, no cake to do it on. This would be great, can you share, please??
I second that request on the shoes!! Please share
Thanks for the burger info - might be trying that one soon as I am trying out new scratch vanilla and chocolate recipes!
Twinsline, that is adorable! I was thinking of doing a duck/bath theme on cupcakes for a friend's shower and had the idea in head but seeing it really makes me want to try now. Yours is too cute!
Lot of great cuppies!
Here's one of my favs only because I finally attempted some more modeling. Nowhere near Lorraine quality (aine2) but I had fun trying. Thanks to her again for posting that great video!

For the shoe, what I did is photocopied the template but reduced it by 75%, then I transfered that to a cardboard and used that to cut my Fondant.
Is that the template by boonenati here on cc? Did you use gumpaste, fondant or a combination? Thanks for your response.
Wow, LOVE all the cupcakes!!!!!!
These are my favorite...
