I would like to know how much cake I should make for a baby shower.

Guest list is is between 175 & 200. I was thinking 4 sheet cakes and a 2tier

for the table but will it be enough. My sheet pan is 11x15. Any help would be

appreciated.

Woo! 175-200 people for a BABY SHOWER!? WOW!

I would just do a multiple tiered cake vs. a tiered cake and sheet cakes. I think that's more work.

Oh, but you might want to apply indydebi's 60% rule. One expect 60% of your INVITED guests to actually go - (I think I got that right) and that's for weddings.

Sorry, but WHY 175-200 people???

The baby shower is for my daughter and son in law. They both work and have a home business too. Every body wants to be invited. My family is small but his side is very large and very close, his mother has 6 sisters and 2 brothers and I think his dads has 5 siblings, so alot of aunts uncles, and cousins. I said wow too when they told me lol

I was going to suggest one I did but I htink it would only serves about 100. It's in my pix album - on the 1st pg, down near the bottom. It's an 11x15 w/a sq on top and a gp rattle on that. Let's see -- how could you increase it? Maybe make the base two 11x15s side-by-side, then one on top (maybe make this one 4" tall), then the sq....that should do it. HTH
