I have to vent... I'm baking some cakes for MY birthday party this weekend, and today I baked the third and final one, a 9x13 pound cake.
Everything went well. The batter looked awsome. I put it to bake, and when was almost ready... I SAW THE BAKING STRIPS ON THE COUNTER!!! icon_cry.gif I forgot to use them.
Well, needless to say that something would go wrong. The cake colapsed in the middle after it colled.
I'll have to find a way to fix it, or icon_cry.gif do it all over again!!! icon_mad.gif

Anyway, I just needed to vent it out a little. Thanks for listening...

Marisa

PS: I just want to say that I'm really new in baking, and learning on my mistakes. Thanks everyone!!!! icon_sad.gif

As a last minute emergency rescue, should it ever happen again, you can put a couple of flower nails. Put the points into the cake, once it has started baking, the cake will hold them. They will help it bake in the center.
