Has anyone ever used the Wilton Candy Clay? I bought a couple of kits for my granddaughters while they were visiting. Some of the Colors were fine and they were able to mold fine. The others, like the white were hard as a rock. I had thought about buying a larger quanity but after this experience, may take other advise and use the starburst tootsie rolls.

I have not bought the ready made candy clay but I have made some using Wilton candy melts and corn syrup. It came together pretty easily and worked well.

I believe it is :

1 14 ounce bag candy melts, melted
1/3 c. corn syrup

Knead together.

The specific directions are on the Wilton site.

I have bought these a couple of times. My experience, they were very hard and it took forever to warm them up. I didn't get very much in the packs either. I personnaly was dissapointed in them, and most likely will not get them again.

I will probably try the homemade candy clay, I hope to have better luck with that.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I wasn't very impressed either. Of course my grandaughters just ate it after they couldn't mold with it.
