Hey yall,

I made some chocolate MMF about a week ago in anticipation for a cake this weekend. I just pulled it out to play with it, and it is sooo crumbly!! should I just knead lots of crisco into it? hmm, do you think I used too much cocoa powder? I thought it needed more powdered sugar after I originally made it last week. Now, I think that it might not roll out right and cover my cake! UH OH

Any help about chocolate fondant would be great!

Thanks!icon_smile.gif

Have you microwaved it a bit to soften it up? Just a little bit, like 8 seconds, and then start kneading it on a Crisco smeared mat. Hopefully the heat from the micro and your hands will bring it back to pliability.

IF YOU HAVE SOME GUM PASTE, ADD 3 ONZ TO THE FONDANT AND MIX, IT WILL HELP YOU TO ROLL, IF YOU NEED, I HAVE A GOOD RECIPE. GRACE

I made choc mmf for the first time. I decorated the cake the next day. I found it difficult to work with so I popped it into the microwave for a few seconds and it was easy to roll out.
