o.k. here's what's going on. we are having a block party in my neighborhood, and guess who's doing the cake?!! well, i don't know what to do. keep in mind that i also live next to italians, who will probably be coming too. this is major advertisement. i will need to feed about one to two-hundred people.
i don't want to do an ordinary sheet cake, but something 3D. so here's the question...what should i do?? icon_confused.gif i don't have a clue what to do. i've never done a cake for that many people and it not be a wedding! icon_eek.gif

Do you really need to make that much cake.....are you supposed to have enough for everyone or are you taking a cake as your contribution.........I'm thinking everyone will be participating with food.......I'm sure they are not going to have service for 100-200 people.....

I would cut down on my cake size........that would open more doors for you as far as a design............

I agree with cakelady... maybe cut down on the size or if you wanted to do a 3D cake, do one of those and sheet cakes also that could possibly be in the same theme of the 3D you do. That is sure going to be a lot of cake! lol

In addition to your 3-D cake and/or several different cakes, this might be a good time for a cupcake cake, make them all different flavors, and mix them up in the ccc, (this would give them "samples" of your various cake flavors)!

You might decorate the cc with little flags from the various countries represented, and maybe make your 3D cake as a US flag (I like the one done in a star pan with the flag on it, I think I saw a picture of it on a Google search, or I have a picture I could email if you don't have it). Janice

I am with you mrsrunning. That would be a great idea to represent each family.

Hi Diane, glad you like the idea! It will let you make a nice variety of flavors for all your neighbors to taste!

I haven't made a ccc yet and have been trying to figure out if you ice the cupcakes individually and then ice over all of them again, or do you just ice them all one time? Janice
