Color Flow Or Royal Icing`

Can color flow and royal icing be used the same way on cookies? I'm a looking for a shiny finish.

Yes, it can. Royal icing gives a smooth, shiny finish.

Color flow is going to give you more of a shiny finish. Royal icing usually dries matte.

Either or can be used on cookies.
