Does anyone use Magic Line Creme Bouquet? If so, for what? Is it the same as Butavan I read about? (that may be a stupid question.....)

I've used creme bouquet, when I make a white or ylw cake and using some special flavorings. The creme bouquet is supposed to enhance the flavor.......don't know if it really does add to the taste or not, but the cakes do taste good. I've heard of butavan (more like a thicker pudding type consistency than the liquid creme bouquet) unfortunately I haven't ever tried it. I read it tastes like butterscotch.

Where do you get creme bouquet? I've heard of it and would like to try it but didn't know where to buy it.

I bought it from a cake supply store. It just smelled so good (even through the bottle) that I couldn't resist it.

I've used Creme Bouquet to flavor icing. It has a mild citrus flavor. Next time I use it I'll use 1/2 Creme Bouquet + 1/2 Vanilla. I also added it to a yellow cake mix and can't say that I really noticed the flavor at all. Then again, I'm not a big fan of cake mixes either!
I've tried to find something called Cream Royal- with no luck. Maybe there's something else out there that does the same thing, but I've heard that Cream Royal really adds a creamy taste- like the difference btwn orange and dreamsicle! Anyone tried it?
Maybe it's Royal Bouquet?!

Creme Royale is a poor woman's version of Creme Bouquet - it's kind of weak....
