Dr. Who Tardis Cake
Made this for a dear friend's son, (like a nephew) I had 6 days notice and a big cake due the previous day. So I didn't get to put in the time or effort that I would have liked. As I was working on it, my son, the computer and electronics geek, said that he could build a light for it. He had all the parts, even a little tiny switch. So I worked on the cake and he worked on the light, all evening. After it was all done and I was lying in bed, I thought of a way to make it "Bigger on the inside than it is on the outside". sigh..... maybe next time.

Jack Skellington
Butter cream transfer. After I applied the frozen transfer, it started to sweat causing the black color to bleed into the white. I wasn't expecting it to do that, but I think it created a cool effect for Jack Skellington. My son loved it! Next time I will keep a fan on it and blot up any moisture that collects before the colors can bleed.

Lake Michigan Beach Wedding Cake
This cake was assembled on site 3 hours from home. Had to bring everything with me. Most edibles (cakes, frostings, fondant) were brought frozen. Tools took up more room than the luggage! A wedding gift for my sister. This is an annual family reunion beach vacation, but this year we celebrated a wedding. My sister & her daughters love to hunt for beach glass each year. Beach glass on the cake is all edible and lit from behind. Only the fencing, chairs & drink glasses are not edible.
